Recently, I put together a list of all the book series I’ve started and want to continue with, and there are 19 of them. That seems quite a lot for someone who prefers standalone books, plus there’s the danger of this number randomly increasing when I mood-read some more series openers. Since I’d prefer to …

I Don’t Know What I’m Doing But It’s Fine
Raise your hand if you have many platforms (maybe way too many), where you’re trying to be creative. I, for example, have this blog, two Youtube channels, two Instagram accounts, two Twitter accounts, a Goodreads account… phew, is that all? Granted, I use Twitter mainly for sharing my videos and general chatting and I don’t stress too much about reviewing every single book I read on Goodreads but on the rest of them, I’m actually trying to do something and often failing at being consistent (or coherent haha) with it. And to be honest, it creates a low-key frustration at the back of my mind so today’s post is a bit of a ramble about my experience with creating on different platforms and why I haven’t totally abandoned this blog.
Are These 5 Rom-Coms on Netflix Worth Your Time?
I’ve always loved rom-coms. However, during the last few years, I barely watched any movies because all of my watching time was spent on Youtube or TV shows. Well, that changed during lockdown(s) when I was having pretty regular movie nights where the movie of choice was a rom-com most of the time. In this …
How I Broke the Curse of Never Being Consistent
I stretched and meditated every single day for a month. That might be the first time in my life that I actually stuck with a habit for 30 days in a row. That sounds nice and all, right? Well, let me tell you that it wasn’t always pretty.
8 Books by Black Authors You Need to Read
I started writing this post in February when it was Black History Month… well, it’s not February anymore but my lateness is the perfect reminder that books by Black authors can (and should) be read and enjoyed at any time. Here are some books I loved and highly recommend for you to check out:
Vegan Youtubers You Need to Check Out
I spend a lot of time on Youtube. There are two main types of videos I enjoy watching – bookish videos and videos about lifestyle/self-help. Youtube is one of my main sources of inspiration when it comes to vegan cooking (the second biggest one probably being just googling random recipes based on some ingredient I need to use up), and I’d like to share with you some of my favorite Youtube channels that are definitely worth your while, even if you’re not a vegetarian or vegan.
10 Books I Want to Read Before This Impossible Year Ends
Happy November! There are (only?) two months of this year left. Today, I’m going to share 10 books I want to read before 2020 ends. I don’t usually put together TBRs aka to be read lists because I’m a huge mood reader and prefer to read whatever I happen to feel like at the moment but I like to do a check-in with my reading goals for the year near the end of it to improve my chances of actually hitting them. After a strong start at the beginning of 2020, I fell into a reading slump and barely ever felt like reading but I’m happy to report that my reading mood might be back just in time for me to hopefully enjoy myself reading these books in November and December:
Low-energy Self-Care Ideas
This blog post is coming a few days later than I expected. I got sick so I decided to take my own advice, listen to my body, and get some rest. It worked out pretty well in some aspects, though, because at least I’m in the perfect position to share the following low-energy self-care ideas. Going for a walk, doing a workout, or deep-cleaning the apartment are all wonderful ideas but if the thought itself makes you feel exhausted for whatever reason, there are still plenty of other things to do to take care of yourself and make your day a bit better.
How to Get Over a Job Rejection
Job hunting can be a very frustrating and soul-crushing experience. You spend hours browsing job portals and responding to offers and in return, you’re met with radio silence or rejections, or worse, you get your hopes up to have them later crushed again. And again. Chances are you’re going to need a lot of patience and perseverance to land a great-sounding job but the most important thing is to take care of your well-being during the process and try to not let it affect you negatively too much. Here are a few tips on how to handle hunting for your next awesome (or at least acceptable) job.
10 Things to Declutter on Your Phone
Regularly going through our digital space and decluttering what we don’t need or want anymore is just as important as cleaning our physical space. Chances are you’re already holding your phone in your hand half the time anyway so why not turn it into a little decluttering session (or a big one if you’re feeling ambitious)? Here are 10 things to go through and declutter on your phone:
